Business Administration (MBA)
The Maine Business School offers the MaineMBA, a Master of Business Administration program, which consists of 30 credits and is designed to prepare leaders for the future. Students gain essential business knowledge in accounting, finance, marketing, and management, with the opportunity to advance skills in leadership, critical thinking and analysis, and global engagement.

Program Format: Online
Application deadline: Rolling, however, starting Spring 2026, the MaineMBA will shift to a low-residency format that doesn’t support F-1/J-1 visas. International students may begin in Fall 2025, with in-person courses through Spring 2027. Those completing the program online from their home country may apply and start any semester.
Test Required: GMAT for MBA; waivers available for previous relevant work or educational experience, visit https://umaine.edu/business/mainemba for details. English Language Proficiency scores are required for all international students applying to the MBA unless the student has completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the USA or Canada (excluding Quebec province). No exemptions or waivers.
