EEL 580 - Theoretical Perspectives within MPCL Coaching Part I This is one of four courses in a program of study designed to prepare school based literacy coaches who work within defined grade spans across a Pre-K to grade 12 continuum. In this course, participants will actively engage in constructing new knowledge to enhance current understandings about effective literacy learning and teaching. Participants will explore theory and research that underpin perspectives on literacy education and coaching in the context of literacy learning. Throughout the program of study, participants will have the opportunity to engage in shared inquiry around a range of topics. Participants will also explore the power of reflection in extending their own learning and enhancing the learning of colleagues.
