NUR 452 - Community and Population Health Introduces students to the concepts and principles of community health care. Students will gain knowledge about communities and population health, health determinants, and epidemiology to assist clients in making choices that promote health and wholeness. Topics are population focused and take the form of health promotion, maintenance, and restoration. Students perform a population assessment, a cultural assessment, and propose community level interventions. Satisfies the General Education Cultural Diversity and International Perspectives and Population and the Environment Requirements.
Prerequisites & Notes NUR 308. Senior standing in the School of Nursing. Corequisite: NUR 453.
