MET 540 - Lean Six Sigma

This course introduces engineering and engineering technology students to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma continuous improvement methodologies via lectures, independent assignments, and experiments using disciplin-independent processes. Topics will include the 8 forms of waste; value stream maps; the DMAIC model; Gage R&R; hypothesis testing; Ishikawa diagrams; and Design of Experiments (DOE).

Prerequisites & Notes
This course is being cross listed with MET 440.

MET 440 and MNET 540 can not both be taken for academic credit.
