PHI 454 - Foundations of the Human Sciences A study of philosophical and ethical issues in the social sciences and history including: individualism and holism, structuralism/determinism versus voluntarism, explanation and interpretation, causes versus reasons, facts and values, predictability and rationality and relativism.
Satisfies the General Education Ethics, Western Cultural Tradition and Writing Intensive Requirements.
Prerequisites & Notes One course in philosophy or two courses in history or a social science and junior, senior or graduate standing.
