AVS 556 - Animal Nutrition Laboratory


A solid background in applied animal nutrition is key for competitiveness within the animal industry considering that most of the costs of raising an animal comes from feeding. In this course, students will have the opportunity to experience how to sample and process feeds, measure key nutrients, measure feed utilization using animals, simulate digestion processes in the lab and assess the safety and economic viability of conserved feeds.

Must have a Graduate standing in animal science or food science and human nutrition or permission.
