HTY 463 - The Early Republic, 1789-1840 Explores the shaping of American society by people and events between the years 1789-1840. While paying due attention to political and economic changes during this period, the focus will be on the lives and experiences of ordinary people: their families, work, homelife, communities, attitudes and expectations.
Satisfies the General Education Western Cultural Tradition, Social Contexts and Institutions and Cultural Diversity and International Perspectives Requirements.
