ECO 473 - Economic and Policy Applications of GISProvides an introduction to the principles of geographic information systems (GIS). Covers methods for managing, visualizing, and analyzing spatial data. Emphasis is given to how social scientists employ GIS to study the interactions between humans and the natural environment. Recitations will include hands-on experience working with relevant spatial data and spatial analysis software. Prerequisites & Notes COS 102, COS 103 and COS 104 or equivalent; MAT 215 or MAT 232 or equivalent. |
